Counter Associate / Barista – Full Time

Ottavio Italian Bakery & Delicatessen, located in Oak Bay Village, is seeking a full-time Counter Associate / Barista to join our café team. We are an established bakery, café, gelateria, and delicatessen known for quality products and friendly, professional service.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has an interest in food and coffee, and is committed to providing an exceptional customer experience. Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or customer service environment is an asset, and we are happy to train the right candidate in barista skills.

What You'll Do:

- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Prepare coffee and espresso beverages
- Assist with food service and maintaining product displays
- Work independently and collaboratively with the café team
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards

Qualifications:

- Customer service experience preferred
- Interest in food and coffee
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment




- Reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Full-time availability, including weekends and holidays
- Food Secure and Serving It Right certifications are considered an asset

Compensation:

- Starting wage: $18.25 per hour
- Participation in a shared tip pool (typically an additional Seven to Nine dollars per hour)
