About MightyBird

MightyBird is a fast-paced quick-service restaurant specializing in bold, flavourful chicken dishes. We are looking for a dependable and energetic Line Cook to join our kitchen team at Union Station.

Previous kitchen experience is welcome but not required. We are happy to train applicants who have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to MightyBird’s recipes and quality standards
- Set up and maintain an organized workstation
- Follow proper food-handling, sanitation, and food-safety procedures
- Prepare ingredients and complete daily kitchen prep
- Assemble orders accurately and efficiently
- Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and product quality
- Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift
- Keep kitchen equipment, counters, floors, and storage areas clean
- Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Support the team during busy lunch, dinner, and event periods




- Complete opening and closing duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Kitchen or line-cook experience is an asset but not required
- Food Handler Certification is an asset
- Comfortable working in a busy, rapid-paced kitchen
- Able to follow recipes, instructions, and food-safety standards
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and order accuracy
- Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
