The Math Guru – Yonge & Eglinton

Do you genuinely love math and science? Are you the kind of person who enjoys explaining concepts, building confidence, and helping students discover that they really can do it?

At The Math Guru, we believe tutoring is about much more than improving grades. We build confidence, reduce stress, and help students develop a genuine understanding of the material. We're looking for exceptional tutors who are passionate about making a real difference in students' lives.

Please note: This is an in-person position at our Yonge & Eglinton studio. We are not hiring for virtual-only tutors at this time.

We're looking for someone who is 100% confident tutoring the following:

- Grade 9–12 Mathematics AND Grade 9–12 Science (General Science, Chemistry and Biology)
- Grade 3–9 Mathematics AND Grade 3–9 Science
- Grade 11& 12 Math AND Grade 11& 12 Physics

Bonus qualifications include experience with:

- Grade 12 Advanced Functions
- Grade 12 Calculus & Vectors
- Grade 12 Data Management
- Grade 12 Chemistry
- Grade 12 Biology
- Grade 12 Physics

In addition to your teachables we're looking for someone who:

Is available at least three weekday evenings (3:30–9:30 pm) on a consistent basis.

Can commit from September 2026 through June 2027. Our students benefit most from long-term relationships with their tutors.

Loves working with children and teens and enjoys helping students build both confidence and understanding.

Is dependable, professional, punctual and communicates well with both students and parents.

Is patient,



encouraging and able to explain concepts in multiple ways when a student is struggling.

Tutoring experience

Previous tutoring or teaching experience is considered a strong asset.

If you have limited tutoring experience but have significant experience mentoring, coaching, teaching, leading youth programs or helping others learn, we'd still love to hear from you.
