Construction Estimator – Residential Construction

Join our growing team and play an important role in delivering high-quality custom residential projects throughout the Okanagan. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator who is experienced in residential construction and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate construction estimates.
- Solicit and compare pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and determine material, labour, and equipment requirements.
- Develop and maintain estimating databases, cost records, and historical pricing information.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure budgets align with project scope and objectives.
- Evaluate value engineering opportunities and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Identify potential cost savings without compromising quality, performance, or project timelines.
- Assist with purchasing activities,



subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations as required.
- Stay informed of current market conditions, including changes in labour rates and material pricing.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience, with residential construction experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of residential building methods, construction materials, and estimating principles.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate estimates under deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and trade partners.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple estimates while working collaboratively with the project team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
