Service Technician – Irrigation Installation & Maintenance

The Job

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal landscape health and efficiency. This role requires a strong background in gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance, along with mechanical knowledge and experience working with various tools and construction equipment.

- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems
- Safely navigate company vehicle and maintain clean driving record
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment to perform maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues within irrigation systems and perform necessary repairs
- Maintain detailed records of system performance, repairs, and scheduled maintenance activities
- Provide exceptional customer service while representing the company professionally
- Plan, coordinate and maintain adequate part inventory in the company vehicle
- Uphold company standards, safety protocols, and core values at every job site




- Adapts to changes in seasonal workload by filling in with other grounds personnel as assigned by the supervisor

Experience

- Proven experience with irrigation systems, landscape maintenance, or horticulture preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, piping, and system troubleshooting
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscape or construction work
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Valid class "G2" or “G” driver’s license, with a clean driving record (abstract available upon request)
- Self-motivated, eager to learn and have a excellent customer-first attitude
- Must be a team player, have effective communication and be self-directed.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills to enhance job performance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically fit to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods of time

Work Schedule

- Typical day starts at 7:00 AM with a morning huddle and end times vary depending on the job, usually between 3pm and 5:30pm.
- Extended hours may be required during peak periods or project deadlines.
- Approximately 40-50 hours per week during peak season
- Winters off

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
