Radiation Therapist

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (1.0 FTE)

Schedule: Days / Modified Days
Hours: 7.75 hours per day (2015 annual hours)
Start Date: ASAP

Position Summary

We are seeking a Radiation Therapist

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver radiation therapy treatments according to established clinical protocols.

- Participate in patient simulation and treatment planning processes.

- Provide clinical instruction and mentorship to radiation therapy students, residents, and other healthcare learners.

- Collaborate with physicians, physicists, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.

- Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental projects.

- Provide coverage in various radiation therapy areas as required.

Required Qualifications

- Current registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).

- Current CPR - BLS Provider certification.

- Eligible to legally work in Canada.

- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team setting.

- Commitment to professional development and continuing education.





Preferred Qualifications

- Recent experience in radiation therapy treatment and simulation.

- CT Therapy Certificate (CTRT) or equivalent advanced credential.

Additional Assets

- Experience with ARIA Radiation Oncology systems.

- Experience operating Varian Linear Accelerators and Siemens CT equipment.

- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Science, Health Science, or related field.

- Advanced credentials such as CMD and/or CDC.

- Additional radiation therapy-related certifications or coursework.

- Professional awards, recognitions, or honors.

- French language proficiency.
