River West Medical Centre is a busy family practice and walk-in clinic, looking for an enthusiastic hard-working reliable candidate to join our team. Position available is for a permanent Part time ( 20-30 hours/week) to start asap. Should be available during day time on weekdays. Possible Saturday in the future.

Ideal candidate have excellent communication skills both written and oral in the English Language as well as a strong work ethic, knowledge of medical terms, experience with Accuro and has high attention to detail while working in a fast paced environment. Candidate should have knowledge of computer systems and applications, ability to troubleshoot, robust organizational and time management skills and is able to work effectively as a team member with strong interpersonal communication skills.

Job Duties are as follows;





- Greet patients as they walk in and create a great first impression in a clean, friendly and professional environment
- Maintain and monitor reception area, tidiness, supplies, resource material, washrooms, common spaces and waiting room
- Answer phones to schedule patients, answer questions, make appropriate patient/physician related phone calls as needed/requested.
- Assisting/Chaperoning physicians with patient exams and procedures
- Mailing, scanning, importing files
- 3rd party/patient billing
- Ushering patients into examination rooms
- Must maintain strict confidentiality according to PHIA
- Provide training for any new staff and constructive criticism to team members when appropriate
- 50 WPM

Physical Requirements

- Prolonged physical activities include; walking, standing, sitting, bending and lifting up to 25 pounds
- Able to sit at a computer for long periods of time

Preference will be given to those with 1+ years medical office experience with knowledge of Accuro.

Wage will be dependent on work experience.
