We are currently seeking a self-motivated Driver to join our high caliber team of professionals in the Baltimore, MD area.

PURPOSE

TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL DRIVING (TRANSPORTATION) SERVICE TO EACH BRANCH LOCATION AND CUSTOMERS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Pick-up and deliver equipment to and from customer locations.

Light mechanical work as needed Light warehouse work

Maintain clean delivery vehicle

Maintain daily driver log

Complete and submit paperwork daily

Daily inspection of vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order

Regular communication with manager

Ability and availability to work overtime is essential

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Where appropriate assist in shop activities, various cleaning duties





Insure that vehicle is in safe and operating condition on a regular basis

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

A minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience with a clean driving record

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

CDL class B(Class A is a definite plus)

Air Brakes certification is a plus

Electric jack, forklift experience is a plus

Rollback truck experience is a plus

Ability to be a self starter

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Incumbent will be required to lift and move items in excess of 75 lbs.

May be required to work with others to move heavy objects

Long periods of sitting in a driving position

Ability to reach and climb is required

WORK SETTING

Generally incumbenet will be working in an outside enviroment sometimes in harsh weather conditions. Ocassionally incumbenet will be required to work inside a warehouse setting.
