As a growing business, they are seeking a Class 1 Driver to support their operations, ensuring efficient and safe transportation of materials across Greater Victoria, the Cowichan Valley, and the Gulf Islands.

Responsibilities
- Operate end dumps and walking floor trucks to transport materials to and from assigned locations across southern-mid Vancouver Island.
- Follow assigned routes efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with safety regulations.
- Use dispatching software on a mobile device to manage route assignments, track deliveries, and input real-time data.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, WCB regulations, and maintain a clean driving record.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the Fleet, Transportation, and Logistics Manager promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation as required by company and regulatory standards.

Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with manual transmission training.
- Experience with 53-foot trailers an asset.
- Familiarity with dispatching software and mobile devices for route management.
- A clean and safe driving record.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Able to sit for long drives and perform occasional heavy lifting.
- Availability to work Saturdays, with flexibility for weekday time off.
