Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Yard Worker for our Scaffold Yard in Calgary, AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for the hands-on work throughout the yard.

Responsibilities

- Loading trucks/trailers, bundling gear, operating forklifts, helping to organize shipments

- yard/warehouse maintenance and cleaning

- counting and verifying delivery/return tickets, assisting with inventory counts, and other tasks as assigned by supervisor

- Organize, arrange, and verify materials for required shipments

- Unload and verify counts for shipments received

- Ability to identify and report promptly to supervisor; and discrepancies, shortages/overages or damages with any deliveries or returns





- Ability to load/unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently

- Organize and clean warehouse and yard

- Conduct scheduled inspections for tools and equipment

- Adherence to Skyway’s policies and procedures

- Ability to recognize potential hazards and act appropriately

- Holds high regard for personal safety and safety of others

QMS System

- Participate, follow, and support all elements of Skyway Canada’s Quality Management System

Work Conditions

- Applicants that reside in Calgary will be given preference due to the location of our yard

- 5 days on / 2 days off shift rotation working 8 hours per day (shift Monday- Friday)

- work will be primarily outdoors in all weather conditions

Required Experience

- Experience working in a scaffolding yard would be an asset but not required

- knowledge of all scaffold access equipment, shoring equipment and swing-stage equipmentis an asset

-Able to lift up to 50lbs

-must have zoom boom experience and ticket

- must have a valid driver’s license with a clear driving abstract

- Computer skills, work with Microsoft packages, Windows 10, Excel
