Responsibilities
Duties of each position varies.
Example of various duties: filing, reception, data entry, clerical, and administrative.
The Clerical Relief Clerk must be flexible to work at any one of our current or future locations including but not limited to:
Surrey Transit Centre
Vancouver Transit Centre
SeaBus
Port Coquitlam Transit Centre
Burnaby Transit Centre
Hamilton Transit Centre
Richmond Transit Centre
Sapperton - CMBC Head Office
Transit Security - Columbia
Casual clerical relief clerks work on an as-needed basis and are paid according to the work they are assigned. Many assignments will be Monday-Friday but there may be shifted work assignments as well. Work locations shall be assigned on a daily basis.
Qualifications
You must possess the following skills and experience:
Grade 12 graduation, including successful completion of courses in MS Office 97: MS Word;
Excel, Access & PowerPoint;
Typing speed: minimum 50 words per minute;
6 months previous related clerical/administrative experience in an office environment;
Excellent communication and organizational skills;
Adaptable and dependable;
Excellent telephone skills;
Must be available for assignments on short notice.
Other Information
Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.
Work Schedule
This is a casual position. The hours are not fixed and may vary depending on the assignment.

This position works predominately in office.
Rate of Pay
Salary $25.18 per hour
