- Partnering with operations to improve project financial performance and support decision-making.
- Overseeing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions.
- Managing corporate tax, HST,

WSIB, insurance renewals, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Coordinating year-end working papers and acting as the primary liaison with external accountants.
- Developing, documenting, and continuously improving financial policies, internal controls, and accounting processes to support a scalable, high-performing finance function.
- Identifying opportunities to leverage automation, AI, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, enhance reporting, reduce manual processes, and strengthen decision-making across the finance function.
- Leading finance-related system improvements, reporting enhancements, and digital transformation initiatives that support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Coaching and developing members of the accounting team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participating as a key member of the Leadership Team, contributing to company initiatives, strategic planning, and organizational growth.

What we're looking for:

- 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience.
- Experience in construction, project-based accounting, or a related industry is considered a robust asset.
- Strong understanding of ASPE, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Experience with job costing, WIP reporting, and project accounting is highly desirable.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting and construction management software.

- A continuous improvement mindset with a genuine interest in leveraging technology, automation, and AI to enhance the effectiveness of the finance function.
- A collaborative leader who enjoys working cross-functionally with operations and project teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Someone who is equally comfortable preparing journal entries, presenting financial results to leadership, and improving business processes.
