Company Overview

The Panorama Hills Residents Association (PHRA) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to manage, maintain and operate the resident’s associations community centre and all of its amenities. The community hub will be a 13,000 sq foot modern facility to provide rental, program and event space for its members. The community centre park is 5. 5 acres with a splash park, sport court, playground and amenities. We own and maintain 38 direct controls sites throughout the community which includes all entrance features.

Position Summary

The Facilities Operations Attendant is a hands-on position that reports directly to the General Manager. We are looking for a self-motivated team member that is responsible for ensuring timely, efficient and safe maintenance, repair and operations of the community centre. This is a full time position of 40 hours per week and includes “on-call” responsibilities. Weekend and evening work will also be required from time to time with emergency repairs and special events.

We require a person who has an attitude of quality and excellence and who takes pride in their work and the company they work for. We require a person who enjoys leading and teaching people, can effectively communicate with residents, crews, peers, and management. You must be able to solve problems in real-time and thrive under the pressure of meeting timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare rooms according to rental floor plans.

· Set up and take down tables, chairs, staging, and audiovisual equipment.

· Clean event spaces, washrooms, kitchens, and common areas before and after rentals.

· Inspect rooms for damage and report maintenance concerns.

· Ensure the facility is secure by opening and closing the building.

· Assist renters and program staff with facility-related needs.

· Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.





· Ensure the facility meets health and safety standards.

· Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance tasks as required.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in facility operations, custodial services, event setup, hospitality, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience setting up rooms for meetings, programs, and special events is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
- Basic computer skills for completing reports, communicating by email, and using scheduling software.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain within a specified period.
- A clear Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check, if required.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Ability to push and pull carts, tables, chairs,



and other equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- Comfortable performing repetitive cleaning and setup tasks.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, if required.

Working Conditions

- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts based on facility bookings and special events.
- Ability to respond to urgent operational issues during assigned shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in a community centre, recreation facility, banquet hall, or event venue.
- Experience operating floor scrubbers, buffers, or other commercial cleaning equipment.
- Basic maintenance experience (changing light bulbs, minor repairs, troubleshooting equipment).
- Familiarity with building security systems and alarm procedures.
- Knowledge of event setup standards and banquet-style room configurations
