Lotus Kitchen & Bar is a modern Asian fusion restaurant located in downtown Halifax. Our menu focuses on East Asian flavours, including noodle dishes, stir-fry, small plates, creative cocktails, and fresh beverages.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Cook / Wok Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is a good fit for someone who takes pride in consistent food quality, works well with a team, and can stay organized during a busy service.

Position: Cook / Wok Cook

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards

- Operate the wok station and hot line equipment safely and efficiently

- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all menu items

- Work closely with the kitchen team to keep service smooth during busy hours

- Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards

- Keep workstations clean, organized, and ready for service

- Assist with prep work, restocking, and inventory when required

Requirements:

- Previous kitchen, line cook, or wok cooking experience preferred





- Experience with Asian cuisine, stir-fry, or high-heat cooking is an asset

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

- Strong teamwork and communication skills

- Reliable, responsible, and able to follow instructions

- Food Handler Certification is an asset
