Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shop Hand to join our manufacturing team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic factory environment, supporting various operational tasks that ensure smooth production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience working with tools and equipment in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
Please note: No bus transportation is available to the shop location. You must have your own reliable means of transportation.
Duties
- Participate in the proper housekeeping in the shop
- Assist with shipping/receiving
- Maintaining tools and equipment
- Support team members in various manufacturing tasks as needed to meet production goals
- Ensure activities undertaken meet both companies Health and Safety & Quality Management System requirements
Experience
- Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, and power tools required
- Mechanical knowledge or a background in assembly or manufacturing is an asset
- Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is highly desirable
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to stand for the full shift
- Employee must have own steel toe boots. Other PPE such as coveralls, safety glasses and gloves will be provided.
- Must have adequate/reliable means of travel to the shop location - No bus service available
Hours of Work
- Temporary role at this time (2-3 months)
- 40 hours/week
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: $22.00 per hour
