We are seeking a motivated and reliable Pipe Layer/Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. This role is a PERMANENT-YEAR ROUND position, you will be instrumental in laying and installing underground piping systems, supporting excavation activities, and assisting with various tasks to ensure the successful completion of infrastructure projects. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help keep projects on track while maintaining a secure and efficient work environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills in heavy equipment operation and utility installation within a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Duties
- Assist with the installation of underground pipes, including reading blueprints and following project plans accurately
- Use hand tools and power tools to prepare work sites, secure piping connections, and perform minor repairs or adjustments
- Follow safety protocols diligently,
including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site safety procedures
Experience
- Prior experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, backhoes, or bucket trucks is highly preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, rigging procedures, and general construction practices is essential
- Experience working with underground piping or utility installation projects is a plus
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or blueprints is beneficial
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites is required
