Job Overview
Kitchener Foot and Orthotic Clinic is our newest clinic that is part of a group of Canada's largest Chiropody clinics! Our 10 Chiropodists, 3 Foot Care Nurses, 2 Pedorthists, and team of assistants work together to provide the highest level of care for all patients. Chiropodists, or Foot Specialists, are medical professionals who focus primarily on the foot and ankle. We assess a number of issues not limited to: ingrown toenails, fungal issues, sports injuries and rehabilitation, orthotics, warts, and much more.
A successful candidate will be seeking a fulfilling full time permanent position.
Clinic Hours (Hours Subject to Change):
Monday 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Tuesday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Wednesday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Thursday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and setting up the treatment rooms, sterilization of instruments, and maintaining Podiatric equipment
- Facilitating clinic work flow by bringing patients to rooms and communicating with practitioners and other staff members.
- Assisting with therapeutic treatments, such as laser, ultrasound, and shockwave, as delegated by the Chiropodist
- Assisting with the proper setup of rooms for routine and surgical procedures.
- Answering the phones and emails, confirming next-day appointments.
- Maintaining and updating patient records, scanning documents into patient files.
- Ordering supplies and receiving incoming shipments.
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining practitioner schedules.
- Greeting and signing in patients when they enter the clinic.
- Managing billing to patients and their insurance companies.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in computer and technology use including Microsoft Office, emails, scanners, printers, etc.
Experience and/or education in a medical office would be preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
