- Reconcile transactions and balances across platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, PayPal, Stripe, Square, and other payment channels.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger while strengthening internal controls and financial governance.
- Support multi-entity consolidation activities, including intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, and eliminations.
- Oversee inventory accounting, cost of goods sold analysis, and other financial processes related to a product-based business.
- Manage cash flow and treasury activities, including balance monitoring, cash forecasting, payment processing, and liquidity planning.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors,

and other professional service providers to support audit, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee sales tax compliance across Canada, the United States, and Dubai, using Avalara or comparable tax automation platforms where appropriate.
- Support the ongoing use, enhancement, and integration of NetSuite and other accounting or operational systems.
- Develop, document, and implement accounting policies, procedures, controls, and best practices.
- Monitor financial results, identify trends, prepare management reporting, and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Contribute to financial planning, departmental initiatives, and the execution of broader finance strategies.
- Participate in finance-related technology and systems projects while supporting additional accounting and operational priorities as required.

Preferred Experience

- Experience working within an e-commerce, retail, consumer products, or inventory-based organization.
- Strong knowledge of accounting for Shopify, Amazon, and other online sales channels.
- Experience reconciling payment processors such as Stripe, PayPal, and Square.
- Practical experience with inventory accounting, landed costs, and cost of goods sold analysis.
- Experience working with an ERP platform, ideally NetSuite.
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions.
- Familiarity with Canadian, U.S., and international sales tax or indirect tax compliance.
- Experience with Avalara or a similar tax automation solution.
- Previous experience in a high-growth or rapidly scaling business.
- Ability to work both strategically and hands-on within a fast-moving environment.
