BAK'D Cookies

Canada

Founded in April 2020, BAK’D Cookies is a local brother-and-sister-owned company known for our BIG 5 oz gourmet cookies. We make everything locally using high-quality ingredients, and as we continue growing across the Lower Mainland, we’re looking for a reliable, hardworking, and outgoing person to join our Farmers Market team.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being out in the community, meeting new people, and representing a local brand. You’ll be responsible for transporting products and market equipment, setting up and taking down our booth, serving customers, and making sure the BAK’D experience is just as good at a market as it is in our store.

Farmers markets and our events are located all over the Lower Mainland so you have to be comfortable to drive.

- Set up and take down our farmers market booth, including tents, tables, signage, and product displays
- Provide friendly, engaging, and efficient customer service
- Process customer transactions accurately
- Keep the booth organized, stocked, and looking great throughout the market
- Sell cookies :-)
- Safely pack and transport products and equipment
- Represent BAK’D professionally and positively in the community
- Help with other market or event-related tasks as needed

You’re a Great Fit If You

- Have a valid driver’s licence

- Have reliable access to a larger vehicle capable of transporting market equipment and products. SUV preferred
- Are comfortable driving throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland
- Can work outdoors in Vancouver weather, including rain, cold, and hot summer days
- Have strong customer service and communication skills
- Are outgoing and comfortable speaking with customers
- Are reliable and punctual, especially for early morning market shifts
- Can stand for extended periods of time
- Are able to lift up to 20 kg
- Have strong attention to detail
- Are flexible and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a growing small business
- Can work a minimum of 16 hours per week, primarily on Saturdays and Sundays

Preferred: FoodSafe Level 1 certification and previous customer service, farmers market, retail, café, or event experience.
