Job Title: Field Reporter / Video Journalist
Location: Surrey / Metro Vancouver, BC (Must be able to travel to events across the Lower Mainland)

About the Role:
We are looking for an energetic Field Reporter / Video Journalist to cover media events, press conferences, and community events. You will be responsible for capturing live video feeds, photos, and short interviews, and sending them quickly to our studio team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Attend press conferences, media events, and community events across Surrey and Metro Vancouver
- Capture high-quality live video and send real-time video feed to the studio
- Take professional photos at events
- Conduct short on-camera interviews with officials, community leaders, and residents
- Write short notes/summaries from the event for the newsroom
- Work closely with the office team to deliver material on time
- Represent StudioX professionally on location (with mic flag and ID)

Requirements:

- Experience in video journalism, camera work,



or content creation
- Comfortable appearing on camera and conducting interviews
- Ability to work with mobile phones and/or professional cameras
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to events (sometimes on short notice)
- Good communication skills in English (additional languages such as Punjabi, Hindi, or Urdu are a strong asset)
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when required
- Understanding of local Surrey/BC news and community issues is preferred
