Being a Buyer with us means leveraging your negotiation skills, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset to ensure efficient procurement practices and contribute to the performance of our supply chain.
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating procurement activities, developing strong supplier relationships, and contributing to the optimization of costs, purchasing categories, and sourcing processes.
In this role, you will:
- Plan and execute procurement activities by ensuring the timely purchase of required raw materials and distributed products in the right quantities to meet business needs.
- Manage the complete supplier order cycle, including releases, confirmations, follow-ups, supplier invoice approvals, credit requests, and return-to-vendor (RTV) processes as required.
- Negotiate and manage commercial agreements, including pricing, discounts, payment terms, delivery costs and lead times, contracts, and requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Manage and optimize supplier relationships through regular communication, performance monitoring using key metrics, and resolution of disputes or supplier-related issues.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (planning, engineering, production, finance, etc.) to ensure operational alignment and the smooth functioning of the supply chain.
You are the person we are looking for if you have:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- A degree in business administration, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and effective priority management.
- A positive understanding of ERP systems and material requirements planning (MRP). Experience with D365 is considered an asset.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong autonomy, attention to detail, initiative, and a results-oriented approach.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style.
- The ability to communicate effectively in both French and English, verbally and in writing, to meet the requirements of the role and interact with various stakeholders.
