Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dental practice, providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with dental software systems such as Akitu One. Experience in Endodontics, Pediatrics with CAD technology is a plus. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced workplace where attention to detail and compassion are essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, and restorative treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records accurately using Akitu One software systems
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries as a dental receptionist when needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control standards
- Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment and assisting with age-specific procedures
Requirements
- Certification or experience in dental assisting preferred; knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Akitu One
- Experience or training in orthodontics or pediatrics is desirable
- Basic understanding of CAD for digital imaging or restorations is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy clinical setting
- Professional demeanor with excellent organizational skills
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in customer service within healthcare settings is beneficial
- Weekend availability
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
