As our delivery and logistics operations continue to grow, we’re looking for a highly experienced Drywall Load Builder / Forklift Operator to join our team. This is a skilled position requiring extensive load-building experience, exceptional forklift proficiency, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with increasing responsibility.

About the Position

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting our growing drywall delivery division. Working closely with our Shipping and Yard teams, they will be responsible for accurately building, staging, and loading drywall orders for delivery to residential and commercial job sites.

This position is ideal for an experienced load builder who understands how to organize materials safely and efficiently, takes pride in getting every order right, and can be counted on to keep work moving without continuous direction or supervision.

What You’ll Do

- Build accurate, stable, and delivery-ready drywall loads
- Operate forklifts safely and confidently in a busy yard environment
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, customer vehicles, and incoming material shipments
- Pick, stage, organize, and verify contractor and customer orders
- Inspect loads for accuracy, product condition, safe weight distribution, and secure placement
- Handle drywall, lumber, sheet goods, and other oversized building materials safely
- Coordinate with Shipping, Yard, and Sales teams to ensure orders are prepared on time
- Identify order discrepancies, damaged products, or potential delays and communicate them promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe loading and staging area
- Take ownership of daily priorities and contribute to the overall efficiency of our operation

Who We’re Looking For

Reliability, initiative,



and personal accountability will be critical to success in this role. We are looking for someone who can assess what needs to be done, organize their work effectively, and follow tasks through to completion without requiring continual oversight.

The ideal candidate will bring:

- A minimum of three years of professional forklift operating experience
- Significant experience building and staging customer or contractor orders
- Highly proficient forklift skills, including handling long, wide, heavy, and oversized materials
- Previous experience in a lumber yard, building centre, wholesale building supply operation, or similar workplace
- Drywall handling and load-building experience considered a strong asset
- Exceptional reliability

Forklift experience is required, however expired certification may be renewed at the employer’s expense for a qualified candidate.

A valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and clean driver’s abstract are preferred.
