Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Cargo Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a solid commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, D license, and the ability to manage freight effectively. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Class D license at minimum
- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Utilize forklift equipment when necessary for loading and unloading freight.
- Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
Qualifications
- Must have a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid D driver's license at minimum
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Experience in freight handling and logistics is an advantage.
- Skills in automotive repair are a plus, enabling quick fixes during transit.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road.
