- Schedule will be posted near one week prior in the Golf Shop and sent via email.
- Days off must be submitted in writing prior to the schedule being posted
- Shift changes must be authorized by a supervisor
- It will be your responsibility to check your schedule and times that you will be working.
- Food orders must be done through the restaurant and not when it is too busy. A 50% discount will be granted in the restaurant when you are working. Staff will get fountain pop/ coffee and tea at no cost (within reason)
- When bringing guests to the golf course, guests are required to pay full price for any food and beverage services required.
- Only golf shop staff and management are permitted behind the golf shop counter, behind the bar or in the kitchen.
STAFF PRIVILEGES
- Please make sure to break at the appropriate times. (Always check with manager on duty before break).
- All Pro Shop merchandise is cost + 20% for “personal” use. Supervisor must authorize all the purchases.

OPENING DUTIES
When first arriving on shift:
· Check in with Golf Shop staff
· Obtain a radio.
· Check to see if there are any tournaments or small groups.
· Proceed with daily operations if not special duties are required
CLOSING DUTIES
- Check with golf services team mate on how the morning went
- Check to see if there are any tournaments or special jobs to do that night
- All power carts that were used need to be cleaned properly which involves:
- Remove all pencils and garbage from cubby holes and drink holders
- Spray down the floors, wheel wells and bumpers
- Wipe down the rest of the cart with a damp towel
POWER CARTS – Daily & Tournament
When pulling out power carts always have a damp towel with you, this ensures every cart that you pull out will be wiped down of all dust and debris. Areas to be wiped include - all body areas, front of the cart, and windshield. All carts should be stocked with a pencil and a scorecard.
Gassing will be completed on Mondays of each week (supervisor) unless otherwise indicated. When parking carts in the staging area, please make sure there is enough room to carry a golf bag full around the cart. Do not leave keys in power carts that are parked in the staging area and refrain from giving to customers unless authorized by golf shop team. When recycling carts, wash the floor, take out all garbage and pencils (keep pencils & scorecards if still useable) and wipe down the rest of the cart with a damp towel. You will be trained on how to stage tournament carts.
CART WASH STATION
Always keep the cart wash station clean throughout the day if the garbage’s are too full, empty them into the dumpsters by the back of the club house. Clean any excess grass, mud and debris to keep drain in area from flooding.
GREETING CUSTOMERS
We all try to us the following guideline:
- Use their first name as many times as possible
- Ask questions in a effort to get as much information out of them as possible. This will help make their day better and your job easier (have you played here before? If yes then when? , How did you like it? What’s your playing ability? )
After questions have been asked start to make recommendations for their day. (Pro Shop Specials, F&B;, Tee’s & Golf Course)
