About Us

We are an established locksmith and access control company specializing in commercial, institutional, and residential security solutions. Our services include locksmithing, access control systems, automatic door operators, CCTV, and other low-voltage security installations. We are looking for a motivated 3rd Year Apprentice Electrician to join our team and build a career in the security and access control industry.

Position Summary

As a 3rd Year Apprentice Electrician, you will work alongside experienced locksmiths and access control technicians installing, servicing, and troubleshooting electronic security systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of work, problem-solving, and learning specialized skills beyond traditional electrical work.

Responsibilities

- Install and service access control systems, electric strikes, magnetic locks, door operators, and related hardware.
- Assist with wiring, terminating, and testing low-voltage electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation specifications.
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic security systems.
- Install conduit, cable, and raceways in commercial and institutional environments.
- Work with locksmith technicians on integrated door hardware and security systems.
- Ensure all work meets electrical codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations.
- Complete service documentation and communicate effectively with customers and team members.





Qualifications

- Registered 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice.
- Experience with commercial electrical installations.
- Knowledge of low-voltage wiring is an asset.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders and lifts.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with access control, CCTV, intrusion alarms, or automatic door operators.
- Familiarity with door hardware and locking systems.
- Fall Protection, Elevated Work Platform, or First Aid certifications are considered assets.
