Luna is Tex-Mex fusion restaurant that has a capacity of over 90 guests. We are open 7 days a week from 12pm- 8pm. We serve lunch and dinner as well as offer delivery and takeout whenever we are open.

We are currently looking for part-time helper/dishwasher that can work lunch and dinner service.

Note: Canditate must be a Canadian citizen or have an equivalent permit

Job description

- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans, and all other kitchen and FOH materials using dishwasher and/or by hand.
- Assist in making specific dishes, such as salads, as directed by Head Chef
- Assist kitchen and for rush hour and in their preparation jobs, when needed
- Perform other duties to assist cook and kitchen staff as directed by Head Chef
- Use a list of inventory of all items and quantities that will be brought to wash or for other cleaning
- Ensure all washed items are clean for new use
- Ensure sufficient dishes and glassware are clean for kitchen and FOH in a timely manner
- Place dishes after washing in appropriate storage areas
- Maintain the cleanliness and usability of all work areas, utensils and equipment,



including work tables, cupboards and appliances
- Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards and other storage areas
- Follow the safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages
- Sweep and mop floors and ensure all dropped items are immediately cleaned up
- Ensure floors are dry and non-slip
- Closing cleaning: wash rice warmer, soup pot, all kitchen tools
- Ensure brooms and mops are clean before every use and sanitized after each use
- Ensure water used for cleaning has proper levels of disinfectant and is clean throughout each use
- Remove trash and clean all kitchen garbage containers
- Bring garbage to the disposal outside in a timely manner
- Ensure that the outside disposal doors are always closed after every use
- Record all damages to any equipment on the inventory list when it happens, and report to Head Chef for re-ordering purposes

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
