We are seeking an experienced Piping Designer to join our growing engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing high-quality piping and equipment designs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting the successful delivery of oil and gas projects. This position requires solid technical expertise in 3D modelling, a commitment to quality, and the ability to mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain 3D piping and equipment models using industry-standard CAD software under the guidance of senior design personnel when required.
- Prepare accurate piping layouts and contribute to the development of detailed design models in accordance with project specifications and company standards.
- Participate in internal and client model review sessions, document review comments, and ensure assigned action items are completed in a timely manner.
- Generate bulk material take-offs (MTOs) and assist with discipline-specific material quantity estimates.
- Coordinate piping designs with other engineering and design disciplines to ensure consistency and integration across the project.
- Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, technical specialists, project teams,



and supervisors to obtain and clarify design information.
- Ensure all work complies with approved engineering practices, project requirements, and company quality standards.
- Promote a collaborative work environment built on teamwork, communication, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior, intermediate, and senior piping designers as needed.

Qualifications

- Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology (minimum two-year program) or completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship in a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Piping Designer within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong proficiency in 3D plant design software, with demonstrated experience using SmartPlant 3D (S3D) for equipment and piping modelling.
- Solid understanding of piping design principles, industry standards, and project execution practices.
- Ability to make sound day-to-day technical decisions within established project guidelines and priorities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
