Express Employment Professionals, Saskatoon's top rated Recruitment Agency, is recruiting three Apprentice Electricians (2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year) for a commercial electrical renovation project at a major retail facility in Saskatoon. This is a temporary project anticipated to run approximately 6–8 weeks, with a target start date in mid-August.

Specifically the project will involve electrical installation work on fuel station (gas bar) project, including underground infrastructure, equipment mounting, and wiring systems. Works independently or as part of a crew to ensure code compliance and secure, efficient delivery.

Pay Rates

- 2nd Year Apprentice: $30.00 – $32.00/hour
- 3rd Year Apprentice: $34.00 – $37.00/hour
- 4th Year Apprentice: $38.00 – $42.00/hour

Responsibilities

- Underground Conduit Installation – Install rigid electrical conduit underground, including trenching, laying, securing, and proper grounding per code requirements.
- Electrical Equipment Mounting – Mount transformers, disconnects, breaker panels, control boxes, and other electrical equipment on pads, walls, and structures with secure fastening and proper orientation.
- Wire Pulling – Pull wire and cable through conduit systems using proper techniques; size wire appropriately for load and distance; terminate connections safely and neatly.
- Canopy Wiring – Install power distribution, lighting circuits,



and sensor wiring throughout the fuel canopy structure; ensure weather-tight connections and proper support.
- Dispenser Wiring – Connect fuel dispensers to main electrical panels; install individual circuit wiring, communications cables, and safety shutoff systems per manufacturer specifications.
- Tank Wiring – Install submersible pump wiring, tank sensors, alarm systems, and grounding for underground storage tanks; verify safety interlocks and monitoring equipment.
- Follow all site safety procedures and industry regulations.
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors and fellow tradespeople.

Qualifications

- Registered Apprentice Electrician (2nd–4th Year)
- Current electrical certification/license (province-specific)
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Commercial construction experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
