In-Store Sales Associate – Bikes & E-Bikes

Rover Bike and Sport is looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused In-Store Sales Associate to join our Penticton team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is interested in bikes and e-bikes, and can confidently guide customers toward the right products and services.

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers and understand their cycling needs
- Recommend and sell bikes, e-bikes, accessories, rentals, and service plans
- Clearly explain product features, pricing, warranties, and financing options
- Assist customers with bike sizing, test rides, and product comparisons
- Process purchases, payments, returns, and rental bookings
- Follow up with sales leads and customer inquiries by phone, email, and online platforms
- Maintain attractive, organized, and well-stocked product displays
- Help receive, label, and organize inventory
- Coordinate with technicians regarding bike preparation and service timelines
- Support promotions, community events, and seasonal marketing activities
- Work toward individual and store sales goals
- Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming showroom

Qualifications

- Previous retail or customer-service experience
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable recommending products and closing sales




- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Comfortable using computers, point-of-sale systems, email, and online booking platforms
- Interest in bikes, e-bikes, outdoor recreation, or tourism
- Able to lift and move bicycles when required
- Available to work weekends and during the busy cycling season

Previous bicycle-industry experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person. Knowledge of e-bikes, cycling accessories, rentals, or basic bike mechanics is also an advantage.
