Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Rock Truck Operator/Packer to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty rock trucks and packers to transport and distribute materials efficiently across construction sites. Your expertise will help ensure smooth operations, safety, and productivity on site. Responsibilities
- Operate rock trucks to haul materials such as gravel, dirt, or debris safely across construction sites
- Pack and level materials using packers to prepare surfaces for paving or other construction activities
- Utilize loaders, excavators, backhoes, graders, and bulldozers to assist in material handling and site preparation
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment including Caterpillar machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during operation, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with site cleanup, material staging, and loading/unloading operations as needed
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities,
equipment usage, and material movements
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as rock trucks, loaders, excavators, graders, and packers in a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge of construction machinery including Caterpillar equipment is highly desirable
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in heavy vehicle operation
- Familiarity with dozer operation, horizontal drilling, paving techniques, and backhoe operation is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
