The Role

As a Field Marketing Representative (FMR), your primary responsibility is generating painting estimates by speaking with homeowners in targeted neighbourhoods throughout Ottawa.

You'll follow our proven system while learning valuable sales and communication skills that can be applied throughout your career.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, being outdoors, challenging themselves, and seeing a direct connection between effort and income.

This is an outdoor position. You should be comfortable working outdoors in rain, sunshine, heat, and light snow (when safe). Some of our best-performing days happen when other people decide to stay home.





What You'll Be Doing

- Canvassing assigned neighbourhoods
- Starting conversations with homeowners
- Booking qualified painting estimates
- Educating homeowners about our services
- Recording appointments accurately
- Tracking daily activity and performance
- Working toward individual and team goals
- Representing Maple City Painters professionally at all times

What We're Looking For

Sales experience is an asset, but not required.

Qualifications

- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable speaking with strangers
- Reliable transportation is an asset
- Familiarity with Ottawa is an asset
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
- Google Sheets experience is an asset
- Real estate or home improvement knowledge is an asset

Work Conditions

- Outdoor position with extensive walking throughout each shift
- Comfortable walking several kilometres each day
- Able to work in varying weather conditions when safe
- Typical shifts are 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, when homeowners are most likely to be home and available to chat
- Occasional weekends may be required
