About the Client:

We're seeking a compassionate caregiver for a Portuguese or Spanish-speaking senior in Bradford who is experiencing memory changes and needs daily support. She values her independence but requires assistance with certain tasks to remain safe and comfortable at home. She enjoys company and would benefit from a caregiver who can provide both practical support and meaningful companionship.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare nutritious meals daily
- Provide medication reminders and assistance with medication management
- Offer memory prompts and gentle redirection for cognitive support
- Provide companionship and engage in conversation to reduce isolation
- Occasionally drive to errands or medical appointments
- Monitor safety and well-being throughout visits
- Communicate regularly with family about care and any concerns

What We're Looking For:

- Fluent in Portuguese or Spanish
- Experience with memory care and cognitive support
- Patient, calm demeanor with seniors experiencing memory changes
- Reliable and consistent with daily commitments
- Valid driver's license and comfortable with occasional transportation needs
- Strong communication skills with both client and family
- Takes initiative and anticipates needs
- Brings positive energy and makes the client feel comfortable
- Respects independence while ensuring safety

Schedule:

Daily visits, most days of the week.



This is an ongoing position requiring consistency and reliability. The family is committed to a three-month trial period to ensure a good fit for everyone.

This is the client's first time receiving professional care, so patience and explicit communication during the transition period are essential. The family is actively involved and values caregivers who keep them informed and work collaboratively to provide the best possible support.
