Duties

- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
- Analyze real-time images to identify abnormalities or irregularities in heart structure and function.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of imaging results, patient information, and procedural notes.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret findings and assist in diagnosis.
- Follow strict safety protocols and infection control standards to ensure patient safety and equipment integrity.
- Stay current with technological advancements and best practices in cardiac imaging to continually enhance skill set and service quality.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Cardiac Sonographer or similar role within a healthcare setting, demonstrating proficiency in echocardiography techniques.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to cardiology and ultrasound procedures.
- Certification from a recognized skilled body such as the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience working with advanced ultrasound equipment and software systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
