Security Guard (Residential Concierge)

Location: Toronto, ON (Multiple GTA Locations)
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Permanent
Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour (based on experience and site assignment)

Job Summary

We are seeking reliable, professional, and customer-focused Security Guards to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, staff, and property through regular patrols, access control, surveillance, and exceptional customer service.

This position is ideal for individuals who are observant, dependable, and able to respond professionally to emergencies while maintaining a strong security presence.

Responsibilities

- Patrol the property on a regular schedule to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of residents and visitors.
- Monitor and control access to the building by verifying visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
- Conduct routine inspections of doors, parking garages, stairwells, common areas, and building equipment.
- Monitor CCTV systems, fire alarm panels, and other security equipment.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and resident concerns.
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, occurrence reports, and daily activity reports.
- Enforce property rules and remove trespassers when necessary while following company policies and applicable laws.
- Liaise with emergency services,



property management, and supervisors when required.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to residents and guests.
- Report maintenance, safety hazards, and security concerns to management.

Qualifications

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence (required).
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Solid observation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately during emergencies.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Previous security or concierge experience is considered an asset.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Schedule

- 8-hour or 12-hour shifts
- Day, Evening, Overnight, Weekend, and Holiday shifts available

Requirements

- Secondary school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
