The Build Concept Group is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of a multi-phase residential balcony replacement project in Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of the project from mobilization through close-out while ensuring compliance with contract requirements, safety regulations, quality standards, and project schedules.

The Project Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the company, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and the Owner to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Manage all phases of the construction project from mobilization to completion.
- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules.
- Coordinate daily activities with the Site Supervisor and field crews.
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit RFIs, Shop Drawings, Product Data, and Project Submittals.
- Prepare Applications for Payment and supporting documentation.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow.
- Attend project meetings with WSP, consultants, and the Owner.
- Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Manage Change Orders, Site Instructions, and Extra Work documentation.
- Maintain complete project documentation and daily records.
- Ensure compliance with Ontario Health & Safety regulations.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare weekly progress reports for company management.
- Coordinate project close-out documentation and final handover.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of design specifications.
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.




- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and codes related to civil engineering and construction practices.

Experience

- Minimum 5 years of Construction Project Management experience.
- Experience managing commercial, institutional, or multi-residential construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of CCDC Contracts and Ontario construction practices.
- Experience with project scheduling and cost control.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Robust leadership and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar software is considered an asset.
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- English (Mandatory) - Spanish is asset

Preferred Qualifications

- Gold Seal Certification (CCA) or PMP designation is considered an asset.
- Working at Heights Certification.
- WHMIS Certification.
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Experience working with consultants such as WSP, engineering firms, or public sector clients.

Employment Type

- Fixed-Term Full-Time Contract (4 Months)
- Monday to Friday
- Possibility of permanent employment based on performance and future projects.

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
