Almor Testing Services Ltd. (Almor) is a geotechnical and materials testing consultant, based in Calgary, Alberta. Almor provides geotechnical consulting and materials testing services to land developers, general contractors, municipalities, and other consultants. Projects Almor participates in include residential and commercial developments and civil infrastructure upgrades/improvements.
We are looking to expand and fill a Field/laboratory position. Our ideal candidate will have completed a civil engineering diploma program or already have experience with asphalt and/or CCIL certifications as an asphalt, aggregates or concrete lab tech. An emphasis will be placed on asphalt experience.
Daily Activities:
Laboratory Work (asphalt, soils and concrete) – Our new team member will perform ASTM and CSA test procedures, record keeping and facilities/equipment maintenance (light duty cleaning, equipment calibrations, etc.). Experience with Marshall Mix Analysis and other asphalt testing procedures is an asset.
Field Work (asphalt, soils and concrete) – As a secondary aspect to the position,
our new team member will also be expected to provide project support through sampling, coring and density monitoring.
