Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople by providing necessary tools and materials promptly
- Perform basic tasks such as digging trenches, mixing concrete, and moving supplies to designated areas
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members
- Operate basic construction equipment under supervision and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Help with site cleanup at the end of each shift to ensure a tidy and hazard-free workspace
- Contribute to quality control by inspecting work areas for compliance with project specifications
Experience
- Prior experience in general construction or related manual labor roles is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction tools and safety procedures is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors to support project goals
