Fever is seeking a reliable, organized, and confident Event Supervisor / Shift Lead to oversee the in office delivery of Candlelight Concerts and other live experiences across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.

The Event Supervisor / Shift Lead serves as the main on-site point of contact and is responsible for guiding event staff through setup, guest arrival, seating, performances, and teardown. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and hands-on leader who can make decisions, solve problems in real time, and maintain a professional and welcoming environment for guests, staff, musicians, venues, and vendors..

Responsibilities

Event Leadership and Operations

- Lead and supervise event staff throughout the full event lifecycle, including load-in, setup, guest arrival, performances, and teardown.
- Act as Fever’s main on-site representative and communicate regularly with the Event Manager and production team.
- Review the event Run of Show and assign staff to positions such as ticket scanning, greeting, ushering, merchandise, and guest photo experiences.
- Communicate staff expectations, monitor performance, coordinate breaks, and address attendance or conduct concerns.
- Ensure events are delivered safely, professionally, on schedule, and in accordance with Fever’s standards.
- Make announcements or coordinate pre-recorded announcements before performances.
- Respond calmly and effectively to operational challenges, last-minute changes, and incidents.

Setup, Teardown, and Inventory

- Lead the unloading, setup, testing, and placement of candles,



signage, candelabras, candle stands, and other event equipment.
- Ensure ticket-scanning phones, photo equipment, hotspots, point-of-sale equipment, and other event technology are charged, prepared, and operational.
- Establish seating zones and ensure the venue is properly prepared before doors open.
- Monitor on-site inventory and identify equipment, battery, merchandise, or supply needs.
- Lead the teardown, equipment count, packing, and load-out process following the event.

Guest Experience and Safety

- Ensure guests receive welcoming, professional, and efficient service.
- Respond to customer questions, concerns, accessibility needs, and special requests within established policies.
- Support crowd management, guest flow, seating, and late-arrival procedures.
- Escalate unresolved customer concerns and operational incidents to the appropriate Fever representative.
- Complete an incident report when required.

Reporting and Administration

- Complete and submit an accurate end-of-shift report following each event.
- Record staff, musician, and security arrival and departure times.
- Report staffing concerns, operational issues, incidents, inventory needs, sales or photo-experience totals, and other relevant event details.
- Communicate any follow-up needs to the Event Manager and production team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS





- Previous experience supervising teams in live events, hospitality, entertainment, customer service, retail, or a similar environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate responsibilities, provide direction, and hold team members accountable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and decision-making abilities.
- Confident handling unexpected situations and solving problems in a fast-paced workplace.
- Comfortable enforcing event policies professionally and respectfully.
- Strong customer-service skills and the ability to remain calm when addressing guest concerns.
- Comfortable using smartphones, ticket-scanning applications, point-of-sale systems, and digital reporting tools.
- Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Able to work collaboratively with event staff, musicians, venue representatives, security teams, and vendors.

PHYSICAL AND SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS

- Available to work flexible evening and weekend shifts, including late-night teardown.
- Able to stand and move throughout the venue for extended periods.
- Able to assist with event setup, teardown, and the movement of equipment.
- Able to travel to event venues throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
- Shift availability will vary depending on the event schedule.
