We invite applications for a full-time opportunity at St. Andrew’s College in the role of SENIOR COOK. Cole Dining Hall has seating for up to 320 people and hosts day and boarding students and staff for three meals per day, in addition to special events and receptions.

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Cook include:

- Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of high-quality dishes with accuracy and consistency
- Measure ingredients and seasonings
- Prepare meals according to the menu, ensuring quality and quantity standards are met
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations
- Assist the First Cook and Sous Chef with training staff members
- Assist with menu planning and execution of complex recipes
- Ensure workstations and equipment are sanitized
- Ensure that all food and supplies are stored properly
- Label and stock ingredients on shelves in an organized and accessible fashion
- Comply with Health and Safety requirements under Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Comply with safe food handling and safe handling of cleaning chemicals (W.H.M.I.S)




- Perform other duties as required in the kitchen

We seek candidates with the following credentials:

- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is required
- 3-5 years of cooking experience is required
- Knowledge of safe food preparation techniques and procedures
- Proven ability to follow oral and written instructions, and work reliably in team setting
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods
- A current and satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check

Scheduled shifts will include evenings and weekends.
