Civil Foreman – 2 Positions Available

Location: North Vancouver, BC

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience

Schedule: Full time with overtime available

Overview

Our client is hiring two experienced Civil Foremen for a major construction project in North Vancouver.

This role is suited to hands-on leaders with strong civil construction experience who can coordinate crews, maintain productivity, and ensure work is completed safely and to specification. Concrete experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate civil construction crews.

- Plan daily work, assign tasks, and monitor productivity.

- Supervise excavation, underground utility, grading, backfill, and concrete activities.

- Coordinate operators, pipelayers, labourers, subcontractors, and deliveries.

- Read and interpret civil drawings, grades, and project specifications.

- Complete daily reports, timesheets, and safety documentation.

- Identify site issues and communicate with project management.

- Ensure work meets safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

- Provide hands-on support to the crew when required.

Requirements





- Previous experience as a Civil Foreman or Lead Hand.

- Strong civil construction and underground utility experience.

- Ability to lead crews and coordinate work around heavy equipment.

- Ability to read civil drawings and understand grades and elevations.

- Strong knowledge of construction-site safety.

- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.

- Reliable, organized, and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.

Assets

- Concrete construction experience.

- Experience with formwork, reinforcing steel, placing, and finishing concrete.

- Heavy-equipment operating experience.

- Municipal civil construction experience.

- Confined Space Entry, Ground Disturbance, Fall Protection, WHMIS, or Rigging certification.

- Forklift, telehandler, boom lift, or other equipment tickets.
