- A degree in public administration, political science, intergovernmental relations, natural resource management, or a related field
- Experience managing people and teams with diverse skills including coaching, mentoring and team building
- Experience in leading legislative, management board and cabinet processes, preferably in resource management
- Experience managing human and financial resources
- Experience leading high-level consultation with representatives of industry, stakeholders, environmental groups, councils, First Nations and other governments (please provide examples within your work experience)
- Solid knowledge of Yukon First Nations Final and Self-Government Agreements, the Devolution Transfer Agreement and matters related to consultation and Indigenous rights would be an asset
