Job Overview

Morey Construction is seeking a reliable and hardworking Mason Tender / Masonry Labourer to support our masonry crews on commercial, institutional, and heritage restoration projects throughout Kingston and the surrounding area.

This role is critical to keeping our masonry crews productive. The successful candidate will assist with mortar mixing, material handling, telehandler operation, and jobsite support for brick, block, and stone masonry work.

This position is ideal for someone with construction experience who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and learning the masonry trade.

Responsibilities

- Mix mortar and grout to required specifications for masonry work
- Operate a telehandler to move materials safely around site
- Supply brick, block, stone, and mortar to masons throughout the workday
- Assist masons with layout preparation, scaffolding setup, and material staging
- Operate hand tools and power tools used in masonry work
- Assist with installation of brick, block, and stone as required
- Support demolition, restoration, and site preparation tasks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
- Follow all company and site safety procedures
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment

Qualifications





- Experience in construction or masonry labour preferred
- Experience operating a telehandler (Zoom Boom) strongly preferred
- Experience operating skid steer or excavator is considered a solid asset
- Ability to mix mortar and support masonry production throughout the day
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with a team
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Physically capable of lifting materials and working outdoors in varying conditions
- Familiarity with construction site safety practices
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Pay: $20.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
