Our client, a manufacturing company located in the Mississauga, ON is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team.
What you will do in this role:
- Lead medium to large-scale capital and technical projects across company’s manufacturing operations.
- Manage projects through all phases, including planning, design, budgeting, procurement, installation, commissioning, and start-up.
- Develop engineering solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and equipment reliability.
- Coordinate equipment sourcing, vendor selection, contractor management, and project execution.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, and key performance indicators while providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Apply structured project management methodologies and reporting practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable engineering standards, food safety requirements, regulatory requirements, and company specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Sanitation, Supply Chain, and Product Development.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce operational costs.
- Perform engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations to resolve technical issues and improve equipment performance.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring within the Engineering team and support knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Assist in the planning and execution of preventive maintenance and long-term asset management strategies.
- Continuously develop technical expertise and contribute to engineering best practices that support company’s growth.
What you will bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, preferably within food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or a related manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing capital projects, equipment installations, and manufacturing process improvements.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing systems, automation, equipment design, and process optimization.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional planning, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities and deadlines.

Pay: $120,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
