Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in fine dining or restaurant environments. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall kitchen operations to ensure a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and variety
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed diligently
- Support food presentation to meet aesthetic standards for fine dining
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Assist with catering events and special meal preparations as needed
- Serve dishes efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry preferred
- Knowledge of food industry standards and kitchen operations
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays if required
