About the Role

As a Summer Events Security Guard, you'll help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests, vendors, performers, and staff at festivals, fairs, concerts, and community events across Ontario.

This is a public-facing role where professionalism, communication, and customer service are essential.

You'll spend your shift monitoring event grounds, assisting guests, providing access control, supporting crowd management, and working alongside an experienced team to help ensure every event is safe and enjoyable.

Responsibilities

- Maintain a professional and visible security presence.




- Monitor assigned areas to help ensure the safety of guests, staff, performers, vendors, and property.
- Conduct regular patrols of event grounds.
- Assist with crowd management and access control.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and customer concerns.
- Provide courteous, skilled customer service.
- Communicate effectively with event organizers, team members, emergency services, and members of the public.
- Complete reports as required.
- Follow all site safety and security procedures.

Event Locations

Summer assignments are available at events throughout Ontario, including:

- Port Hope
- Cobourg
- Sutton
- Uxbridge
- Stirling
- Belleville
- Orono
- Spencerville
- Binbrook
- Ancaster
- Aylmer

Applicants should have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to assigned event locations.

Requirements

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence (Required)




- Valid Smart Serve Certification (Required)
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to assigned event locations
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous security or event security experience is considered an asset
