Job Summary: This is a long-haul, open-board driving position covering Canada and U.S. freight with a focus on the lower 48 states and Canadian provinces.

Responsibilities

- Drive 7‑14 days at a time, over 10,000‑12,000 miles per month.
- Available for dispatch 24 days a month with regular resets on the road.
- Handle open‑board freight from Bison locations to the lower 48 states (southbound) and to Canadian provinces and territories (northbound).
- Conduct long‑haul trips on Highway 17 in Ontario and U.S. mountain routes for 12 months a year.
- Haul all commodities, including meat and alcohol.
- Adaptable schedule requiring weekend departures and active dispatch participation.

Requirements

- Owner‑operator with at least 24 months tractor‑trailer experience.
- Vehicle equipped with a DEF system.
- U.S. qualified with a valid Class1/AZ license.




- Minimum of 6 months U.S. driving experience and 6 months Highway17 experience.
- Preferred CPRail experience.
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more; driver‑assist may be required.
- Reliability, flexibility, punctuality, and strong communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and values safety procedures.
- Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
