Purpose

Take full linen racks to linen rooms on guest floors and bring empty racks to the Laundry Department Principal Responsibilities

- Follow proper procedures when entering guest rooms.
- Take full rack to linen rooms on each floor of the Hotel.

- Bring empty linen racks to the Housekeeping Department.
- Replenish linen to ensure Room Attendants can complete their room assignments.
- Report any lost and found items to Manager on duty.

- Adhere to and comply with all safety regulations when handling hazardous materials according to the MDS.
- Safe effective use of equipment.




- Use only chemicals and safety equipment provided by the Hotel.

- Comply with all Hotel policies and procedures.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.

Business

- Open communication with Managers to report challenges and issues.

Customer Satisfaction

- Should always conduct him/herself with a pleasant and helpful attitude towards guest, co-workers and managers.

Process Improvement/ Productivity

- Only in the absence of Housekeeping Midnight Runner will the Laundry Runner respond to guest calls and deliver items to rooms such as hair dryer and cots.
- Performs Housekeeping duties as required to balance the workload of the Department or to meet deadlines.
- Report deficiencies or broken equipment to Laundry/Housekeeping Management

Academic and Working Qualifications

Working Experience

- Previous experience working in a laundry facility is an asset.

Soft Skills

- Strong work ethic.
- Able to work effectively in a team workplace.
- Good communication skills.

Language

- Must be able to speak and understand English.

Physical Requirements

- Flexible in availability.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Able to lift, bend and walk distances.
- Able to lift weights of up to 40 lbs/20kgs.
