Job Title: Mainframe QA Tester

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days/week onsite)

Duration: 1-Year Contract (Extension) :

We are looking for a Mainframe QA Tester with experience testing mainframe applications. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM and be comfortable performing backend and batch testing.

Responsibilities

Review business requirements and create test cases.

Perform functional, regression, and system testing.

Validate data using DB2 and SQL queries.

Test batch jobs and JCL processing.

Report and track defects using JIRA or HP ALM.

Work closely with developers and business teams.

Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings.

Required Skills

Experience in Mainframe QA testing.

Knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.

Experience with SQL and backend/database testing.

Experience with batch testing.

Familiarity with JIRA or HP ALM.

Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodology.

Valuable communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

API testing experience (Postman/REST).

Banking or Financial domain experience.

Basic automation knowledge (Selenium/UFT).
