Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and experienced Traffic Control Person (TCP) to join CLS Construction Labour Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for safely directing traffic around work zones, ensuring the protection of workers, motorists, and pedestrians while maintaining efficient traffic flow. Applicants must have experience working from and following Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), with the ability to implement traffic control layouts safely and accurately.

As a labour hire agency, assignments may be located at various construction sites throughout Vancouver, Burnaby, North Vancouver, and the Lower Mainland, with work locations varying based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barriers in accordance with Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), site plans, and safety regulations.
- Read, interpret, and accurately implement Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) on site.
- Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely and efficiently around construction zones.
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control measures as needed to minimize delays and ensure safety.
- Communicate clearly with crew members, supervisors, and the public.




- Maintain a high level of awareness of surroundings to respond quickly to changing site conditions.
- Ensure compliance with all site safety policies and applicable traffic control standards.

Qualifications & Skills

- Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification (required).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a TCP.
- Demonstrated experience reading, interpreting, and following Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
- Strong understanding of traffic control procedures, TMP implementation, and construction site safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain alert, focused, and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in traffic control or construction environments is preferred.
